Happy Tuesday, sweet friends! Long time, no talk! I’ve been busy the past few weeks keeping our precious grandson, then on vacation for a week. But now I”m back and I can’t wait to share with you this adorable toddler lunch box! Come check it out!
Our grandson started Wee School this past week and this week will start taking his lunch to school. Such a big boy now! So, in preparation, I found this darling little lunch box on Amazon. It’s called a Bento Box with Utensils.
I wanted something small and light weight yet something with a handle for little hands. This Bento Box checked all of the boxes! It weighs a mere 1.3 pounds and comes with built in utensils. The lunch box measures 9.25′ x 8.9″ x 3.25″ and costs around $20.99. It’s completely dishwasher safe and comes apart for easy cleaning.
There are 5 compartments and lots of room for packing a healthy and nutritious lunch. (Our grandson insists that every compartment of his plate or lunch box be filled, so I”m sure it will be packed accordingly.) The lunch boxes come in two colors. We chose the Green, yellow and blue combination, but the other color is pink, yellow and green. Both are very cute.
One of the compartments is large enough for a sandwich and one for a juice box. The others can hold crackers, cheeses, deli meats, yogurts, etc. However, because the lunch box is not insulated, the food can not be kept either warm or cold so you need to keep that in mind when packing the lunch, It must be something that can hold for around 4 hours without refrigeration. And the box is not leak proof either, so make sure you don’t pack something like apple sauce that may leak out.
In case you need some lunch packing inspiration, be sure to check out the internet for neat ideas. I found this on Babyfoodie.com. Another consideration when packing lunches for little ones is their ability to open something like apple sauce or fruit without assistance.
Or, some smart cookies even wrote some books on the topic for loads more inspiration and ideas!
The sky is the limit on what to pack for lunch for your little ones! I think my son and daughter-in-law will come up with some unique and fun lunches for their son. (I’ll try to convince them to take some pictures and I’ll be sure to share!)
Well, lots to do today, so until next time, may the good Lord take a liking to you! xoxo Dell
