Happy Wednesday, friends! Today I want to share with you a new trick my husband discovered via Instagram! It is the easiest way to make egg salad ever! No boiling and peeling of eggs needed! Come check out this easy egg salad!
My husband and I love egg salad but honestly boiling eggs is so tricky and time consuming so we rarely make it. But he discovered this new technique (or new to us) so I thought I’d share it with you!
- First of all, preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Spray Pam into a glass container such as a loaf pan.
- Then, you simply crack several eggs into the prepared pan. (We used 6 eggs.)
- Then set that dish into a larger glass pan, like a casserole dish and fill the bottom one with water.
- Carefully place the dishes into the oven.
Bake for about 30 minutes. The egg whites and yolks will be firm.
Pour the eggs onto a chopping board.
And chop, chop, chop!
We added the following:
- ½ cup chopped red onions
- ½ cup chopped dill pickles
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 Tablespoon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
We put the egg salad on an open face piece of dry toast. It was delicious!
NOTE: Of course you can tweak the ingredients to better suit your taste or else use your own favorite egg salad recipe! I think this method of cooking eggs is brilliant! So next time someone asks you to make egg salad, you can say, “Sure, easy, peasy!”
On a personal note, my Instagram account is still hacked. I’m thinking I probably won’t get it back. Maybe God is trying to tell me something? At any rate, you can find me on my new account, dell.dellsdailydish I hope you’ll drop by and say hi and give me a follow! Thanks so much and I so appreciate y’all following along here as well! Until next time, I hope the Good Lord takes a liking to you (and Me) xoxo ~Dell
