Happy Thursday, friends! I’ve been away for quite a while but wanted to share with you my latest little project. A Gallery Wall in our bedroom! Come check it out!
This wall in our master bedroom has bugged me for YEARS. Nearly 6 to be exact. The wall is so big and the art work I had looked large until I hung it on the wall. This print is approx. 33″x30″ and it looks small here. So, I left it alone.
Until this week! I grabbed a few more pictures I had in my stash and with a bit of trial and error came up with this! I decided to go with a floral theme since I have a lot of them and I thought it would be more cohesive. Naturally I had to move them around a few times until I liked the arrangement. (holes filled with spackle, but of course you can’t see them.)
Using gold frames also brought together the look. I’m loving it so far! Naturally you can use anything at all for a gallery wall. Most folks typically think of family photos when they think “gallery wall” but you can any sort of collected art. I’ve even seen beautiful gallery walls using framed paint-by-number paintings. Like I said, it’s a bit of trial and error and there are no right or wrong ways to create one. I think the key is hanging them close together and perhaps sticking with a color scheme and a theme. The sky is the limit!
A quick before and after! What do you think?
Well, I’m signing off for now. I hope y’all have a wonderful day. And until we meet again, I hope the good Lord takes a liking to you. (shamelessly borrowed from Roy Rogers.) Hugs, Dell
