Happy Tuesday, friends! I’ve been experimenting with homemade salad dressings lately because we eat a TON of salads. Recently I found this delicious homemade balsamic vinagrette dressing recipe. It’s so good and easy so I thought I’d share it with you! Come see!
My husband and I have been trying (again) to eat healthier. I’m always on the lookout for quick and easy recipes to help us keep our carb intake down as well as calories. Thus, we love incorporating salads into our lunch and dinner menus. And while I LOVE homemade ranch dressing, sometimes its nice to change things up. So, I found a great Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing recipe online and decided to give it a try! (NOTE: I added an extra tablespoon of dijon mustard to this recipe and like it better.) Here is my version….
BALSAMIC VINAIGRETTE DRESSING RECIPE!
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 Tablespoons honey
- 2 Tablespoons Dijon mustard
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- ½ teaspoon freshly crusted black pepper
- 1 large garlic clove minded
- ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
- ¾ cup extra virgin olive oil
Mix all ingredients together. You can use a whisk or a mixer and put in a container. Refrigerate. I had this dressing bottle from Pampered Chef from years ago and it makes the perfect vessel for storing and serving dressing.
Our salad tonight consisted of mixed greens, cucumber, sliced tomatoes, sliced black olives, red onions and croutons. And of course topped with our homemade balsamic vinaigrette dressing! So tasty! Sometimes we like to add grilled salmon or chicken. Tonight we paired it with grilled chicken wings. Yep. Also delicious!
I can hardly wait until spring when we have even fresher vegetables and tomatoes. Meanwhile, we are loving our yummy salads and dressings! What’s your favorite dressing? Do tell! Hope you have a great day! oxoxo Dell
