Happy Monday, friends! Do you love the Frontgate catalog as much as I do? I love when the catalog comes just so I can flip through the pages of beautiful furniture and home accessories. I admit they can be a bit pricey, but it’s still fun to look, right? So you can imagine my delight when I learned of a Frontgate Outlet store in Charlotte!
A few weeks ago we got a flyer in the mail offering a 60% off coupon off of one item at the Frontgate Outlet store in Charlotte. They were having a huge July 4th sale! My husband and I have been looking for new cushions for our chaise lounges at the lake house, so we thought 60% off of one item and 40% off everything else? Heck, yeah! So we went!
To our delight, all of the outdoor cushions and chaise lounge cushions were 80% off!! Wow! So, we were able to find all 4 cushions to fit our chairs at the lake house for under $400. I know this still is a lot to spend on cushions, but consider the replacement ones from Pottery Barn are around $400 each. YIKES. So, this was a huge savings. Plus the cushions are thick and comfy. And because they were so expensive, we will definitely keep them put away to save them from harsh weather and they should last forever!
Here is Lacey posing beside one of the chaise lounges. Can you believe that the two Pottery Barn Chaise lounge chairs were FREE? I spotted them curb side on my way to the fish market a few years ago in Doylestown and they had a sign on them that said “free”. I couldn’t believe my good fortune! The lady was redoing her deck and no longer had room for them. It took two trips in my car, but I got them home. On the second trip I took her a nice bottle of Cabernet, since she was so nice. (Clearly this chaise is in need of a little TLC this summer.)
While we were rummaging around the back of the outlet looking for cushions, I spotted this pretty hose reel. The tag said it was $399.00. Four hundred dollars for a hose reel? Oh, dear. But it’s SO pretty!
Upon closer inspection, I noticed the handle on the crank was missing. That’s why it is was at the outlet! So we asked the price given the missing piece and the manager said they would take off 80%!!! SOLD. I knew my clever hubby could fix it.
So, we got this beautiful black wrought iron hose reel for around $80. My handy husband bought a plain round dowel and a carriage bolt and fashioned a handle. Perfect!! I’m going to paint it black to match and hopefully protect the wood from the elements. Nice work, Honey!
Honestly it’s the prettiest hose reel I’ve ever seen and I love it even more since it was a bargain! And it has a gold fleur de lis, which is also one of my faves.
I hooked it up this morning and I”m loving it! I appreciate the fact it’s so pretty since this is on the front side of the house and folks see it when they walk up the driveway. (Please make sure you notice neighbors.)
Quite an improvement, don’t you agree? The new hose reel is nice and heavy making it easy to roll and unroll the hose. And it neatly holds the hose out of the way and tangle free.
Suffice it to say, I’m a HUGE fan of the Frontgate Outlet! As a matter of fact, my sister-in-law and I are going this week! She hasn’t been yet, so I feel obligated to go again. For her. 😉 The outlet store has tons and tons of furniture and patio furniture. They have rugs, wreaths, lamps, chandeliers, art work, mirrors, linens, etc. So, if you are in the Charlotte area, keep an eye out for their sales and specials. Maybe that goodie you’ve had your eye on in the catalog will be on super sale like the things we found!
Thanks for stopping by! I need to take Lacey to the vet. Again. This time for an allergy shot. Poor girl. She’s had a tough summer so far! I hope you have a great day! Until next time! xoxox Dell
