TGIF, my friends! We are hosting a fun dinner party tomorrow night at our house, so I’ve been working on a few decorations in preparation. Since the party is not a formal sit-down type, I was free to decorate the dining table with a large sort of arrangement. Come see my simple fall table scape!
Most of the items for my table are things I have on hand so my only purchase was the green garland. I bought it at Target the other day for $19.99. It’s from the Hearth & Hand with Magnolia collection by Joanna Gaines. It’s 6 feet long and is the bay leaf garland and for indoor decorative use only. The garland is very pretty and well made, so I”m sure it’ll get plenty of use!
So, I started with the garland on the table, and placed my large lantern in the center. Then I added several brass candle holders with white candles. Because I want the table to be neutral, I used mostly white pumpkins, but you could easily add any color to make it more lively and colorful. Lastly, I added some pine cones from my yard and some pheasant feathers my husband and boys brought to me years ago from one of their hunting trips. Easy-peasy!
I purchased this “give thanks” pumpkin a few years ago at Homegoods, I believe. I face the words out or in depending on how I want it to look. The lantern came from a consignment store.
And a view of the dining table. I wanted to leave enough room so folks can sit down with their food if they wish.
This centerpiece didn’t take long at all to whip together and the good news is, I can use the garland over and over for different occasions and holidays!
Soon I hope to share with you pictures from the party. My husband bid on and won the dinner at a charity event a few months ago. The prize includes a professional chef coming to our house and cooking for 10 friends. We helped the chef choose the menu, which will be heavy hors d’oeuvres. Fingers crossed he will share with me at least a few of his recipes!! Table is done, so now for more cleaning! Tomorrow will be cooking and more cleaning! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Thank you for stopping by! xoxo Dell
