Happy Monday, friends! I hope you had a lovely weekend! We had out-of-town guests in for a long weekend and I made my sister’s Buffalo Chicken Dip as an appetizer. Let’s just say it was a HUGE hit! Come see how quick and easy this little appetizer is to put together and you’ll want to make some too!
Years ago my husband and I always hosted a Super Bowl party. One of our sweet neighbors brought a similar Buffalo Chicken dip dish and it was a crowd pleaser! (and the first thing to be devoured!) I mentioned it to my sister and she found a chicken dip recipe of her own. Every time she makes it, it’s a hit! So, with 4 hungry men to feed after 36 holes of golf, I wanted to make a tasty and hardy appetizer that would hold them over until dinner.
Here is the recipe, which can easily be doubled depending on the size crowd you are expecting.
BUFFALO CHICKEN DIP RECIPE
INGREDIENTS:
- 10 ounce can chunk chicken, drained and shredded
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup Ranch Dressing (in a bottle)
- ¼ cup Texas Pete Hot Sauce (or to taste)
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 bag Frito Lay Scoops (or 2)
- celery sticks (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Heat chicken and hot sauce in a pan over medium heat. Stir in the cream cheese and Ranch Dressing. Cook, stirring constantly until melted. Add the cheddar cheese and stir until well blended. Serve warm with Frito scoops, celery sticks or Ritz Crackers.
***I like to put the warm dip into a small Crock Pot to keep it nice and warm. This little Crockette is by Rival and believe it or not, we got it as a wedding gift 35 years ago! And it still works great! Or you can put the dip into a microwave safe dish and heat it up periodically as needed.
Trust me when I say this recipe is so quick and easy and doesn’t cost much to make. And it always seems to be a crowd pleaser for all ages! Let me know if you give it a try. I served the dip with Frito Scoops and celery but the scoops were the favorite. Good thing I bought two bags of chips! The guys LOVED it and there was none left!
Thanks for stopping by today and everyday! I so appreciate your support and love! Until tomorrow! xoxo Dell

I’ll have to give this a try. By the way, I have the exact little crock pot in burnt orange. It was also a wedding gift 37 years ago and still works like a charm.
It’s a great recipe! I bet even Robby would like it! 😉 And that’s so funny about the little crock pot! Must have been the “go-to” gift back in the day!
