Happy Friday friends! I”m soooo happy to be back on here again! Today (just in time for the weekend) I want to share with you a delicious meatball recipe we found via Sam the Cooking Guy! Come check it out!
Ok. First of all I’ll give you Sam’s recipe verbatim and then I’ll tell you what we did differently. (In order to make it Bradford’s recipe of course!)
SAM THE COOKING GUY’S MEATBALL RECIPE
Ingredients:
-8 ounces ground beef
-8 ounces ground pork
-8 ounces ground veal
½ cup ricotta cheese
⅓ cup shredded parmesan cheese
½ cup Panko bread crumbs
2 large garlic cloves minced
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
1 large egg
Directions:
1-Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2-Put everything into a large bowl and mix well-with your hands please, not a spoon.
3-Roll into balls and place on a parchment lined being sheet.
4-Bake for about 15 minute or until cooked all the way through.
5-Boom.
So, Brad made a few changes. Here’s what we did. Instead of 8 ounces of each of the ground meats we used 1 pound lean ground beef or bison and 1 pound hot Jimmy Dean sausage and omitted the ricotta cheese. The rest of the recipe is the same. Our recipe made about 30 meatballs. Also we made a homemade red sauce using San Marizano tomatoes and added onions, garlic, salt, pepper, italian seasoning and some red wine. This can be served over pasta, or we simply put several meatballs into a boat, topped it with red sauce and melted Provolone cheese on top. It was DELICIOUS!! So good in fact that my husband and his buddies polished them all off in one sitting!
Well, please let me know if you try this recipe and see what you think? My younger son was always a fan of meatball subs so this would be delicious on a sandwich or a bun as well! I hope you have a lovely weekend! Let’s chat again next week, shall we? Much love, Dell
