Greetings and Happy President’s Day! I’ve been away for a few days but I’m excited to share my new knowledge with you! Where to buy bulk flowers that are beautiful and affordable!!!
My sister in law is the queen of finding a bargain. Shana, (my SIL) does her research and can price compare like no one else I know. Which is a lucky thing for our family! So, when she and my brother volunteered to host our parent’s 60th wedding anniversary bash at their house, Shana jumped into high gear. She was in charge of the flowers (and about a million other things too) and she found this great bargain that I”m sharing with you!
Shana discovered that Costco Wholesale Club sells bulk flowers! I did not know that! They also sell greenery garlands. You can buy 25 feet of fresh greenery garlands for $79.99. You purchase it online and if you have a Costco membership, this is your price. If not, they charge you just 5% more. Still, not a bad price at all! This garland consists of mixed evergreens and includes Western Bear Grass, Huckleberry and Salal. Isn’t it pretty?
Costco suggests a delivery time frame 2 days before your event and keep the box either refrigerated or in a cool place. The garland can also be used to line pews, archways, doorways, tables, and more. So many options! Below is a picture of Shirley Plantation where my son and daughter in law got married. Note the garland over the door? Gorgeous!
If you’ve planned a wedding, rehearsal dinner or party lately you know first hand how crazy expensive flowers can be. When my son got married last November they ordered this amazing garland of fresh seeded eucalyptus to run the length of each table. Every few inches they had fresh white roses tucked into the garland. The centerpieces were breathtaking and the tables looked gorgeous! Aren’t the tables beautiful?
To recreate a similar look for my parent’s anniversary party, Shana ordered 25 feet of the fresh greenery from Costco. It arrived in a box two days prior to the party as recommended. Shana cut a length for each of the tables then tucked in cream colored roses in the garland. (Isn’t her dining room lovely?)
Around the garland were floating candles and small votives. The tables looked beautiful! The cream colored roses were also purchased in bulk from Costco. They run $39.99 for 50 long stemmed roses in any color.
Here’s another peek of the dining room table just before everyone arrived. Photo credit also goes to Shana. Great job, Shana! Thank you!!
More greenery was used in the kitchen on the large round table. This is where the “big kids” sat.
And because there was still a ton of garland left, we put some in the basement for the kid’s table and added some to the mantle in the living room and the side board in the foyer. We used every inch. The entire house was so festive and pretty!
Shana’s oldest daughter, Faith Elizabeth is newly engaged and getting married later this year. I’m sure that they will keep Costco in mind when ordering the flowers for the wedding and other festivities. And now that I know this information, Costco will get lots of business from me for the next party we host! My sisters and I will start planning a bridal shower for Faith soon and guess where I’m buying my flowers?
So, an enormous shout out to Shana for hosting, cleaning, decorating, cooking, finding a caterer, ordering the cake, setting the tables, taking pictures (and a thousand other things) and managing to make it all appear effortless and magical which I know it was not. It was no easy feat hosting all 24 of us so thank you again to my brother, Edward, Shana and their sweet children from our entire family!
Be sure to check out Costco, Sam’s Club and BJ’s for your next party and I bet you can save tons of money on your flowers! Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day! xoxo Dell
