I love to shop. Not for clothes so much as antiques, or one of a kind treasures. Over the years I’ve gotten much pickier about my purchases. In part, we are running out of room but also I’ve developed a much better eye. Usually I can power walk through an antique or consignment store and walk right back out if nothing catches my eye. It’s one of those “can I live without it?” things.
Last week on such a jaunt I popped into a new antique store. It seemed like the super expensive things were up front so I figured it was going to be a really quick look-see. Much to my delight at the very back of the store I spotted this gem! A classic clock that reads “A Time for Cocktails”!!! As you can see I could NOT live without it. Who could blame me?
The clock measures about 5×5” and is a rusty gold. It has a cute little alarm bell on top and actually plays music, presumably at happy hour. There is a wind up knob on the bottom with a trigger that turns on and off the music. So adorable! I put it in my kitchen at our beverage bar. (see more of the beverage bar here) It is the perfect accessory and I’ve never seen one like it, which makes me love it even more! Oops, its 5 o’clock! Time for Cocktails! Cheers! Xo Dell
