Happy Monday and Happy March, sweet friends! I’m so glad we are just a few short weeks away from Spring! Meanwhile, it’s dreary and rainy here so I thought I’d share with you a sweet poster I made for our grandson over Christmas. It’s called, “Why God Made Little Boys”.
Well, I think we all know why God made little boys. I’m a boy Momma and my first grandchild is a boy, so naturally I’m a bit partial. When my first son was born I went back to work and while on lunch break one day, I found this little sign at a Hallmark Store, I believe. I bought it on the spot and it’s always sat in one of the boy’s rooms when they were growing up. Recently, it sits in the guest room downstairs. I think it is just the sweetest saying!
My daughter-in-law mentioned how much she loved the saying, so as a surprise for her for Christmas, I took the original print to my local Staples. There were able to enlarge the print for about $20 and did it in less than an hour. I then took it to Michael’s and bought an in-stock frame with glass. The helpful gal in the framing department matted it and framed it for me on the spot! The poster now hangs over the crib of our precious baby grandson, who just turned one.
The print originally came in a wooden frame and I’ve since replaced that frame with a pretty vintage silver one. Everything looks better in a fancy frame, don’t you agree?
Here the print sits in the guest room where our son and daughter-in-law stay when they visit.
So, if you have a print (that is not copyrighted, of course) you can enlarge it and make your own artwork! I’ve done this several times to pictures that I”ve taken. Enlarge and frame them and instantly you have your own custom and unique art! I like to buy pretty vintage or vintage looking frames when I have the chance. They make great additions to your home decor and also make great gifts! Guess who is getting one of these framed prints soon? Hint: It’s someone who is expecting a baby boy right now!
And this little guy is the inspiration for this post. He is one of my favorite reasons why God made little boys.
Thank you for stopping by and supporting my little blog. And if you don’t follow me yet on Instagram, please do! I’m a few followers short of hitting the 1,000 mark so please share. Hope you have a great day! Much love, Dell
