Happy Tuesday, friends! Have you ever bought something with one thing in mind and then changed course and used it for something completely different? Come check out what I did with this! #vintage letter holder
Last week while out shopping, I found this cute little metal, brass and glass piece for $7.
Based on the size and shape I assumed it was meant to hold letters or mail.
But since I already have something on my desk to hold mail, I thought it would be cute to use in our powder room to hold disposable hand towels! And they fit perfectly!
Since our powder room vanity is compact, this new disposable hand towel holder takes up less counter space, plus adds a fun vintage vibe. (I love the little glass piece at the bottom.)
I did something similar in the kitchen. I found this heavy silver, wrought iron letter holder….
And added disposable paper napkins to use in the kitchen! This one is heavy and has such a pretty base and will be a nice addition to the table inside or out. (I like the think the deer is playing a fun game of chase with the dogs, instead of being hunted.)
My point is, I like using things for other than their original intended purpose. These inexpensive letter caddies are now handy-dandy napkin holders! Isn’t that fun? And if I change my mind later, they can hold letters again!
Well, I’m a little sore from playing 18 holes of golf yesterday. And if you are wondering if my game is improving? I can honestly say I am slightly improving from week to week. At least I actually hit the ball without missing most of the time now. And sometimes the ball even goes in the right direction! I call that progress. Check back this week and I’ll share with you a yummy banana bread recipe!
Have a great day, sweet friends! Let’s chat again soon! xoxo Dell
