Happy Monday! You know how much I love a good frame. So imagine my joy when I found 4 of these gorgeous wooden gems at a local thrift store. Major score!
While out shopping with my husband the other day, I spotted these beautiful gold leaf frames at the thrift store. At first I saw 3 but a fourth frame was hiding in the back of the booth. They are made of wood and the opening is 8″x 10″. And the best part? They were $7.50 each! So, of course they all came home with me.
Obviously the frames are new since a few of them still had the original cardboard protective corners. Unfortunately they don’t have glass or backing but that will be easy enough to remedy.
I love the ornate details on each of the gold frames…
My plan is to use the frames for my son’s wedding, which is exactly two months from today!!! Gold is one of their accent colors so these frames will work beautifully with their color scheme. I’m thinking I’ll find an elegant font on my computer and print out signs for the different tables. I found this one that I love on Pinterest:
Here’s another Cards and Gifts sign. (I think I prefer the font above better.) But I love how the gold lettering matches the gold frame.
I saw this sign on Pinterest and you can order it on Etsy for $11.35. Or, I’m sure it would be fairly simple to print your own sign using your choice of words and designs.
Here’s another fun sign I found on Pinterest:
This is a cute idea for the wedding favors, framed in a beautiful gold frame, of course!
I found several sites on Pinterest that offer wedding fonts and signs you can download for free. Once the engaged couple chooses which signs they want, I”ll print and frame them. After the wedding I will put other fun printables in each frame. Maybe some for the holidays?
Last year I printed out this “Autumn Leaves & Pumpkins Please” sign and added some sparkly leaves. I found this frame at an antique store for $12 and is very similar to the new frames. Is anyone else getting excited about Fall?
Once the engaged couple chooses their signs, I’ll share them with you! I’m researching scrolly, cursive fonts as we speak. Thank you for stopping by today and please stay safe out there. xoxo Dell
