Happy Wednesday, friends! I want to share with you a quick trick for covering your light switches that you don’t want folks to turn off or on. (Hint: It’s more attractive than this!) Come check it out!
At our lake house we have a few light switches that go to wall outlets which control lamps, or clocks, etc. If folks accidentally flip the switch off, we must reset the clocks and the lamps won’t work. Our solution was to put a piece of tape over the switch to remind people not to turn it off. Lovely, right?
So recently at the hardware store I found these switch guards. They are just a few dollars for a pack of two.
The switch guards do not come with screws, but you simply remove the existing screws from the switch plate and use them on the guards. You can still access the switch on one side if need be, but it just reminds people not to use that particular switch. And it’s much more attractive than tape! The switch guards only came in white at my local hardware store but they may be available in different colors online.
A quick before and after! For just a few dollars, we are able to remind people not to use certain switches in the house. Easy peasy! (Note: the switch covers can be flipped over to allow access to the switch on the left or the right of the switch.)
Well, that’s all for today folks! I hope to share with you our new paint color for the Lounge area soon as well as our new fireplace mantle. Thank you for stopping by! Much love, Dell
