Happy Tuesday! I’m trying to decorate the house for Christmas but my adult ADD keeps kicking in. I bring up an armful of decorations from the basement and next thing I know I’m putting in a load of laundry. Then outside to cut greenery…..
Last week I scored this darling little silver table top Christmas tree at a thrift store. For $15 it was mine! I thought about buying a color wheel for it but I’m not sure if they make them in miniature. So, I had a string of battery operated lights and used those instead. This way it can sparkle even more! Plus, battery operated lights stay cool to the touch so it should be safe on this little tree. Safety first, right? Here is how it looked as found:
Since the tree is vintage I wanted to use vintage ornaments. My husband loves martinis so a few years ago someone gave him a set of these cute ornaments. There is a martini glass, vodka bottle, an olive and a shaker. They are not old, but have that vintage vibe. I added some sweet little elves for good measure. I think they may be sneaking some martinis when I’m not looking. They look a little too happy just to be sitting there. Especially the little guy on top!
I also added some old gold foam balls. I haven’t used these in ages, but I think they are perfect for this tree! Silver and Gold. I think Yukon Cornelius would approve!
I’m afraid the pictures do not do this little tree justice. I’m sure this will be a future favorite! Probably another one of my treasures that my boys will fight over one day. (HAHA) Come back tomorrow when I share my decorated FREE tree! Hope you have a wonderful day!
