TGIF my friends! Are looking for the easiest goodie to make for Christmas this year? If you haven’t tried these, you MUST! Not only are they easy to make but they are quite tasty! (I sampled a few for quality assurance purposes.) Come check out how to make Rolo Pretzel Turtles!
I admit I am SO far behind this year with everything Christmas related! Typically in anticipation of holiday company and our children coming in, I like to have some home baked goodies on hand. So far I’ve only made Chex Party Mix. But yesterday I decided to try these Rolo Pretzel Turtles and boy, were they a snap (haha) to make! Here’s the recipe!
ROLO PRETZEL TURTLES
*20 small mini pretzels (salted or unsalted according to your preference)
*20 chocolate covered caramel candies (Rolos)
*20 pecan halves
Directions:
-Preheat oven to 250 degrees
-Arrange pretzels in a single layer on a cookie sheet (you can use parchment paper)
-Unwrap each chocolate and place one on each pretzel like so with the fat-side of the candy facing down.
-Bake for 3-5 minutes (I baked mine for 5)
-Remove from oven and while still warm press a pecan half onto each candy-covered pretzel mashing down the chocolate-caramel into the pretzel holes. The turtles will look like this:
-Allow to cool completely and store in an airtight container.
TIP: I doubled the recipe because they were SOOOOOO easy to make! And you can fit a ton of the pretzels on one large cookie sheet so you may as well make enough to share! And if salt is an issue, you can use the unsalted pretzels, but we love our salt so we used the regular pretzels. Hands down the easiest recipe ever!
Well, speaking of being behind, I”m off to wrap gifts and clean house! I hope you have a wonderful, and lovely weekend! Thank you for stopping by! If you have a chance, tell me what is YOUR easiest and favorite recipe for Christmas? I’d love to know! xoxo Dell
