Happy Tuesday, friends! As you know we’ve been back and forth to the lake this week, working on a few projects at both places. But, this quick little project was super easy and quick. I love how it turned out, so come check out my painted vintage furniture! (And a little surprise!)
I bought these sweet little bistro-style chairs many years ago. I can’t even remember if they were always black or what color they were when I purchased them. According to my Mother though, if something is white, I paint it black and vice versa. So, I’m guessing they were originally white. See my lazy dog in the background? She loves following me around when I work on projects.
The other day, I decided to paint the chairs white (again?) so they would show up better at the lake house. So, I spread out my tarp and called on my eager assistant.
As usual, I painted the underside of the chairs first. I used a white spray paint in a satin finish. Here’s one chair half way through. I’m liking the white!!
After the chairs dried I couldn’t help but haul them down on the dock for a sunset photo op. Can you blame me?
I brought these @Bouqsco flowers with me from home and a little French table cloth. Add a bottle of wine and two glasses and it’s a party for two! (We actually use plastic wine glasses outside for safety, but they look like glass, right?)
I got the table and chairs set up just in time for the sunset! My husband pointed out that our next door neighbors probably think I’m crazy, running around setting up this little vignette by the water, trying to beat the clock. (Once they get to know me better, they’ll understand.)
A few cans of white spray paint later, and my little bistro chairs are ready for many more photo ops~ lake side. What do you think? Despite the fact they are wrought iron, they are actually quite comfortable! And, because they are heavy, it will be okay to leave them on the dock.
Well, thank you for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful week. We are keeping our baby grandson tomorrow, so it may be Thursday until we speak, but meanwhile, sending you hugs and kisses! xoxo Dell
