Happy Tuesday! Today has been super busy doing wedding related fun projects. It’s getting SO close! But, I thought I would share with you a trick for cooking bacon that my sister told me about ages ago. Oven Baked Bacon! And who doesn’t love bacon?
We bought a new gas powered cook top a few months ago and while it is so pretty, it’s also a bugger to clean. So, when I fry bacon or sausage on the cooktop, I have to clean the entire surface. So, I thought I’d try the method my sister has been using for years. Oven baked bacon! It’s so easy and the clean up is minimal. Win-Win. Here goes!
Oven Baked Bacon:
1-Preheat oven to 400 degrees
2-Line cookie or baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper
3-Place the uncooked bacon side by side until the baking sheet is full.
4-Pop in the preheated oven on the middle rack and bake for about 15-20 minutes (start checking after 15 minutes)
5-Once the bacon is done to your likeness, remove with tongs and drain on paper towels.
That’s it! Easy and simple. I like using foil or parchment paper because it makes the clean up easy and scrub free. Also, I like to fry a pound or more of bacon or sausage at a time so I have enough to use during the week. It really makes for a quick breakfast. Another tip? Remember I shared our new yummy olive oils? We have started putting a bit of the flavored olive oil in a pan and scrambling our eggs in the oil and it gives it such a delicious flavor. Our favorite is the Tuscan Garlic Olive Oil. Dellicious!
Well, more wedding stuff to attend to. I can’t wait to share all of the fun details. After the fact of course. Its’ a surprise! Hope you have a great day! xoxo Dell
