I love one of a kind treasures and this is one of my favorites! I found this awesome lamp at a consignment store for $25. I knew that I could remake it with little effort. And for the price it was perfect!

The old jug. Not very exciting.

Cute cork lamp in action!
It was pretty dirty inside and out, but once I pulled out the dried wheat (?) I vacuumed it out with the shop vac and then cleaned it with some windex inside and out. Already a vast improvement! It was a 3-way lamp too, which is always a bonus.
I filled it with some corks from my cork stash but the hole in the back presented a problem.
I needed to find an attractive solution to hold the corks inside the lamp. My husband suggested a huge cork, so I looked online and found one just the right size. Two days later (thanks to Amazon Prime) the big cork came and I was able to fill up the base with more corks and put the final mega cork in. I found the lamp shade at Lowe’s and popped on a finial from my stash. It turned out great I think! I ended up giving it to my son for his apartment, and he loves it! Wish I could find another one.
While I have you, please check out a few of my other cork projects. I like doing cork projects because I’ve found that they are on the easier side in terms of replication Here is a cork board frame I did a few months back. Wine Cork Art is another oldie but goodie you’d enjoy. Or how about this clever, vintage wine cork idea? Last but not least, you’re going to love my quick & easy cork keychain project!
Hope you have a great day! Xo Dell
