Happy Wednesday! Today I thought I’d share my latest eBay find. And to go along with my over the top nautical theme at Happy Hill, I found some fun little brass nautical door signs!
Do you love eBay as much as I do? I mean you can find ANYTHING. So when we bought our lake house, I started searching for nautical decor. One of the first things I found was this sign for our master bedroom. It says “Captains Quarters”. It is surprisingly heavy and made of brass. This started the entire door sign search.
For our older son’s bedroom door I recently found a brass sign that says “First Mate”. This is appropriate not only because he is our first born, but he is obsessed with driving our boat. Every time he is at the lake, he wants to take the boat out. And if we are all on the boat, he wants to drive! The sign is pretty tarnished but when I tried to clean it I made it worse. But, it gives it an antique vibe, which I like!
For our younger son’s door I bought a sign that says “Crew’s Quarters”. Also appropriate because he is happy to go along for the ride and doesn’t care to drive the boat as much as his brother. He is more of a jet ski guy.
And while I was at it, I found a brass sign for the bathroom door. I bought one for each of the bathrooms. Seems like each of the signs was around $10 give or take.
And this sign, while not nautical, is still brass. It hangs by the front door and means 100,000 welcomes. (I’m pretty sure)
(I used a level to make sure each of the brass signs were straight.)
And of course there is a sign on the basement bedroom that we call “The Bunkhouse”.
Now every room has a label. Not that it’s necessary, but just fun. Like Happy Hill! And it has it’s own sign too. I love that.
Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful day! xoxo Dell
