Happy Wednesday, Friends! I’ve been a bit AWOL lately since we moved. Last Friday we closed on our new house and met the movers immediately thereafter. Thus, the last several days have been spent unpacking a million boxes and trying to find a spot for everything. As for Lacey? She didn’t skip a beat. Want to see Lacey’s new digs?
Our new house is located on a beautiful golf course. The house is open concept and is laid out completely different than our last house so it has been a challenge fitting our traditional style furniture into a more French Country vibe. The house has loads of charm, which we love. For instance, there is a darling little nook/window seat off of the kitchen. To the left is the dining area and to the right is the kitchen. In between the two is the little window seat. This is how it looked when we first saw the house…
We weren’t sure if we would leave this spot as is since it takes up valuable real estate in the kitchen and dining area. But guess who claimed this nook as her own? Yes. Lacey Lou decided this was her spot.
And finally my baby girl has her very own chandelier! I think once Lacey laid eyes on this chandelier and the big fluffy cushion, she knew it was meant to be.
Too bad Lacey had to wait seven long years. But, by the looks of it, she is happy it finally came to be.
So, I guess this answers the question as to what we could possibly do with this spot. Lacey has claimed it as her very own! She hauled big LC (Lamb Chop) up there the first night ( Stuffed Lamb Chop Toy for purchase ). And who can say no to this face?
There are two windows in the window seat and a bit comfy cushion. We piled in some extra pillows and now Lacey has a bed fit for a princess! There is a gorgeous magnolia tree right out this window (sadly not ours but our neighbors) so Lacey can have a bird’s eye view of the wildlife and squirrels. I think these two girls will be very happy here.
Seeing Lacey adjust so well makes my heart feel good. The selling of our home in Doylestown was not a pleasant experience so this helps take away some of the sting. That and moving into our new place, (which was a wonderful experience) so I guess it’s all okay. At the end of the day Lacey is settling in and so are we. And now we can live happily ever after!
Thank you for stopping by today. Lacey and I would like to show you more of our new place as soon as we clear away a few more boxes! I hope you have a lovely, lovely day. xoxo Dell & Lacey
