Hey, sweet friends! Happy Thursday! Are you finished decorating for Christmas yet? For the most part, I am done, but I did add a few fun things to the guest rooms. Come see the guest room decorated for Christmas!
This room is one of three rooms in our basement. One serves as an office and the other two as guest rooms for our children. A few months back I gave this entire room a makeover. I wanted to update the room and lighten it up a bit, so I gave it a fresh coat of paint and rearranged the furniture. To see more of this makeover you can go here: Guest Room Update!
During the update, I switched out the ceiling fan for a vintage chandelier. I found this beauty on Facebook Marketplace for about $100. My sweet electrician friend rewired and hung it for me. (Thank you, Bob!) It adds just the right amount of sparkle to this space!
Now, to get the guest rooms ready for Christmas, I added new flannel sheets, a few throw pillows and a bit of garland.
I found these darling flannel sheets at Bed Bath & Beyond a few months ago. They were on sale, plus I was able to use my 20% off coupon~so they were very reasonable. The vintage red trucks with the green trees are quintessential Christmas!
TIP: Did you know that you can use more than one coupon at BB&B? You can use one coupon per item! I didn’t know that until recently, so now when I get the coupons in the mail or in a magazine, I clip them together and put them in my car so I’ll have them handy. And you know as well as I, that when you go in this store, you can’t walk out with just one thing!
Then I remembered I had these large plaid euro shams from Pottery Barn I purchased a few years ago. So, I hauled them out and added them to the bed for a little extra pop of color.
Cozy flannel sheets, fluffy pillows and throws and it’s ready to go! Bring on the company!
With less than one week to go, this room is Santa ready!
I ended up buying the same flannel sheets for the other guest room and for the Bunk House at the lake. The nice thing about these sheets is they will be used very little so they will last for years to come! Do you decorate your bedrooms for the holidays, too? If you do, I”d love to hear about it!
My husband and I can’t help ourselves, but we are already excited about next Christmas when we will have our first grand child! Hold onto your hats because it promises to be a Christmas extravaganza! Well, thank you for stopping by! If I can get my act together, I”ll share more of our Christmas decor, with less than one week to go! Have a great day! xoxo Dell
