TGIF, friends! Can you believe that Christmas is one week from today? The excitement is building! I started my Christmas baking yesterday and I must share with you this recipe from my sweet sister. It’s called Fudgy Bon Bons! Come check it out!
My sister, Wendy, makes these delicious cookies every year at Christmas. They are her husband’s absolute favorite and I”m sure you’ll love them too! (Photo credit and recipe from my sweet and beautiful sister, Wendy.) Here’s the recipe!
FUDGY BON BONS
INGREDIENTS:
12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
¼ cup butter
14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
2 cups all-purpose flour
½ cup chopped pecans
1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
60 Hershey Kisses, unwrapped
powdered sugar
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Melt chocolate chips and butter in microwave or stovetop.
Stir in milk.
Stir in flour, nuts and vanilla, using a mixer if needed.
Cover each Hershey Kiss with about an inch of dough and roll into balls.
Bake one inch apart for 8 minutes.
Cool.
Place melted white or semi sweet chocolate into plastic sandwich bag. Cut a small snip on one corner of the bag.
Drizzle chocolate in a zig zag pattern over each cookie.
Let cool for several hours or until the chocolate on top has hardened.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar. (Optional but looks pretty!)
Today I’m going to try my sweet daughter-in-law’s cookie recipe. It also uses Hershey Kisses and what could be better than 2 recipes with kisses? Do you have a favorite Christmas cookie? Please share if you do. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and let’s chat again soon! xoxo Dell
