Happy Wednesday, friends! Are you decorating for Fall or Halloween yet? I just started this week and I feel so far behind! At any rate, come check out the adorable dollar tree Halloween wreath I made yesterday!
While I was out and about yesterday I picked up some mums, and pumpkins and at the last minute popped into our local Dollar Tree. (Or $1.25 tree) I found some cute little fall napkins and some stickers for our grandson. Then I found these cute little twig wreaths for $5 each. They are made of sparkly black wire and feature black bats and birds.
This shows a little more detail of the bats and birds. The entire wreath is made from bendable wire so you can fluff it up and arrange the birds and bats to better fit the look you want.
They were $5 each so I bought 2.
Because the twig wreaths are pretty puny on their own, I decided to add them to some wreaths I already had on hand for a layered and more colorful look. Here’s where I started. I bought these eucalyptus wreaths a few years ago from Target. They are pretty on their own, but I’ve learned I like to layer my wreaths for a fuller and more unique look. And these are the perfect base!
Then I added these grapevine wreaths with orange flowers. These were also purchased from Target and if I”m not mistaken, they were by Studio McGee. And while these two wreaths looked pretty together, I wanted to add another layer for Halloween.
I added the black twig wreaths and wired them to the other wreaths using black zip ties. The black wreath really kind of blends into the other wreaths so you can’t really see the detail until you get up close. But I love how the black and orange represent classic Halloween colors. I added some black and orange ribbon I had on hand. Wallah! Very inexpensive and festive wreaths for our little trick-or-treaters! (And without being scary.)
Well, I’m still working a bit on our front porch decor so be sure to check by in this week and see what I came up with this year! Or, if you follow me on Instagram, check out my latest reel for the in-progress look! Have a great day! xoxo Dell
