Happy Thursday, friends! I’ve been trying to find some simple and fun DIY projects to do with our grandson when he comes to visit on Wednesdays between now and Christmas. So, come check out our latest easy dollar store Christmas ornaments!
Last week I picked up these cute plastic ornaments at the dollar store. I thought making some easy Christmas ornaments with Ford would be a fun thing for us to do together. When our boys were in preschool they made a similar ornament and I wanted to recreate it! So, I picked up a few of these clear plastic ornaments at the dollar store for $1.25 each.. (So much for the $1 store.) Then I bought a container of green and red paint also for $ 1.25 each.
After Ford got up from his nap we got to work! We removed the top of the ornaments and then added some red and green paint and swirled it around.
Ford and his Daddy swirled around the red and green paint until the ornaments were filled.
Once the interior paint job was complete, his Daddy wrote Ford’s name and the year with a sharpie marker. Then he added some snowflake details with a silver sharpie. It helps to have a super creative Daddy! Great job Ford & Daddy!
So, they made one ornament for Ford’s Mommy and one for Didi’s tree this year. I think this will become a new tradition! Making a new ornament every year! Next up, snow globes! Yay! (Hint: we may need his Daddy’s help!) Until next time! xoxo Dell, Ford and Chase…..
