Happy Wednesday, Friends! As promised, more wedding details! Honestly, I can’t get enough of the pictures! The wedding was so magical and beautiful, I’m glad we have so many terrific pictures to look back upon. So, I thought I’d share a few pictures from the cocktail hour, immediately following the ceremony.
The wedding ceremony began around 3:30 pm on Saturday. It will be easy for all of us to remember their anniversary because of the date they chose, 11/11! The vows and ceremony lasted approximately 30 minutes and right after the wedding party had pictures scheduled with the photographer. Everyone else was directed to the beautiful cocktail tent a few yards away. This is the tent during set up.
And what would a cocktail tent be without twinkling lights and a chandelier or two? This beauty was rented from Paisley and Jade and it was lovely!
So, in the tent they set up long tables end to end and added white table cloths. The caterer, BBQ Bliss Catering whipped up this amazing cheese spread. I can tell you I’ve never before seen a cheese platter quite like this one! It was complete with every cheese, cracker and fruit imaginable.
Gorgeous, right? And I know I’m not the only one that adores cheese and crackers. What a lovely spread! (Photos courtesy of BBQ Bliss Catering) I’m here to tell you they also make a mean macaroni and cheese.
There were several other intimate seating areas with vintage wrought iron tables and chairs provided by Shirley Plantation. A few simple flower arrangements and decorations gave the tent a warm and personal touch. And stand up propane heaters added more warm touches! It was a tad chilly that evening.
The white flower theme continued…
The high top tables were the perfect place to stand and socialize while having a place to set your drink or plate. My son decorated several of his signature Bottlechalk bottles to use as centerpieces along with some fresh flowers and ornate mirror trays. You can see the sweet iced tea in the background.
During the cocktail hour, Shirley Plantation allowed complimentary tours of the incredible Great House. So beautiful.
A few of the beautiful bridesmaids standing in the doorway of the Great House. They all looked like Southern Belles.
After the cocktail hour and Great House tour, everyone moved over to the reception tent, which was also splendid! More on that later. Meanwhile, my son and new daughter in law are safely on their honeymoon for some much deserved rest and relaxation! Our love to you both. For everyone else, thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoy sharing them. What can I say? I’m a proud Mama. xoxo Dell
