Happy Monday and Happy New Year sweet friends! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! Aren’t you kind of glad that 2020 is behind us? I sure am. However, we did have a fabulous holiday with our children and grandson! Come check out one of the favorite gifts this year. A candle warmer!
Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday and I enjoy picking out thoughtful gifts that I think everyone will love and enjoy. And the gifts don’t need to break the bank in order to achieve it! Case in point, all of our family LOVES candles. Candles, themselves, make great gifts and aren’t necessarily expensive if you catch them on sale, etc. But this year, along with a candle, we gave each of our kids a candle warmer!
I discovered these candle warmers while shopping at Hobby Lobby right before Christmas. I’d already purchased some Yankee Candles, (which were on sale at Bed Bath and Beyond), but I was looking for a little something extra. Then, I spotted these! They are $6.99 and on sale 50% off. (Good ole Hobby Lobby and their sales!)
The candle warmer fits most 4-12 ounce sizes of your favorite candle, regardless of the brand. They release the scent without a flame, so there is no smoke, and no soot. And best of all, there is no longer ¼ of a wasted candle! We all know that when a candle burns down to a certain level, the leftover wax is unusable. When the wick is spent, usually so is the candle. No more! You simply place your candle on the warming pad, remove the lid and plug it in! The light on the back indicates when the warmer is on.
This is my newest favorite candle from my son and daughter-in-law. It’s by Yankee Candle and called “Fresh Cut Roses”. It not only smells just like roses, but is pink, which is my favorite color! You can see how the wax has melted from the bottom of the candle. Warning: the warmer and the candle get very hot, so be sure to keep it out of the reach of little hands.
Another bonus of the candle warmer is that it eliminates smoke and indoor pollution caused by burning candles. It also eliminates an open flame and fire hazard, making it ideal to use in a kitchen, office or bathroom. Naturally, you want to keep an eye on it anyway, and be sure to turn it off if it’s unattended or you leave the house.
But, isn’t this a fun gift idea? Almost everyone loves candles, so pair the candle warmer with a favorite candle and it makes a great and inexpensive gift! We gave our girls this for Christmas, along with a Cedar & Balsam candle. This would make a great Mother’s Day or Valentine’s Day gift too, so tuck this suggestion in your back pocket!
Well, this wraps up my first blog post of the year! I hope you’ll stop back by and say hi! I have lots of projects up my sleeve this year along with some new recipes. My husband got a fun new cooking toy that I’ll share soon. Meanwhile, stay safe and well and thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting me and following my little blog!
Much love, Dell
