Happy Thursday, friends! I hope you are well! I’ve been so busy around the house lately, that I’ve barely had time to post. But when I find a good thing, I like to share it with you! So, come see a few deals I got today at Burlington!
Burlington has been around for ages, and back in the day was called, Burlington Coat Factory. But now I suppose they just go by Burlington, since they sell so much more than coats! This afternoon I went on an impromptu shopping spree. I was in search of some pretty spring pillows for our terrance and Veranda and thought I’d try the new Burlington store in Charlotte!
Well, they did have tons of pillows, but none were what I was looking for, so I switched course. One of the guest rooms in our basement has a king size bed and I noticed recently that the flat sheet had torn. (I guess the sheets have been bleached one too many times!) I found a set of 800 thread count sheets for a mere $32.99 in white. (I tend to buy only white sheets for all of the beds, because they go so well with everything and easy to bleach if there is a stain, etc.) The sheets feel really soft and are 55% cotton and 45% polyester, and are wrinkle resistant. The set comes with a fitted and flat sheet and two pillow cases. Not bad! Once I wash them and put them on the bed, I”ll give another review, but you can’t beat the price!
I also bought a set of pillows for the guest bed, too. Burlington carries lots of name brand pillows and I got two oversized fluffy pillows for just $14.99. While I was there, I HAD to check out their baby things to see if I could find anything for our 14 month old grandson, Ford. They had a few cute things for toddler boys. (Have you noticed that whoever makes little boy clothes wants them to look like miniature men or lumber jacks?) I found two cute little summer outfits by Carter for just $4.99 each.
I like buying 100% cotton outfits for our grandson because they are soft and comfortable for him. Plus, if you buy outfits with a snap at the crotch it’s easier for diaper changes, and the shirts don’t ride up when they are sleeping or playing. This little outfit is a onesie with short sleeves and has a little pair of shorts to match. There is a little tie in the front of the shorts, and and an elephant on the back. Since we are all chasing him everywhere now, this will be the view we see most! LOL! And these little outfits are cute for summer and if they get dirty or stained, it’s no big deal for $4.99? (Plus they are tagless, another bonus for comfort.)
I also bought a few of these pretty lined note pads for $3.99 each. They retail for $8.99 so it’s quite a discount. They had dozens of different patterns and sayings on the front and I bought just a few. And wouldn’t these make great gifts?
So, sadly I didn’t find any pillows for the terrace today, but I feel good about my mini shopping spree! And with all of the cost savings, it was all practically free. (Which is how I’ll explain it to my husband.) All in all, I thought the prices at Burlington were quite good! In addition to home accessories and clothing, they also carry tons of baby items such as car seats, strollers, high chairs, clothes, shoes and all sorts of baby accessories, all at a nice discount from other big box stores. Think of it like a Marshall’s or Homegoods type of store. The one I visited was located on South Blvd in Charlotte, NC but there are many others in our (and probably your) area. Check them out!
Well, I’m going to try to blow off more pollen from our front porch and outdoor spaces before it rains, and turns everything into a yellow plaster! Hope you have a wonderful day! xoxo Dell
