Happy Monday, sweet friends! I hope y’all had a great weekend! My husband had some old buddies in town for the weekend and they played LOTS of golf! They played 90 holes of golf in three days in 90 degree weather heat. Yikes! But both guys commented on the candles I had burning so I thought I’d share the scent with all of you too! Come check out the best smelling candles!
You know when several men comment on the scent of your candles, you are onto something! Our guests this weekend each asked what brand of candle I was burning, so I shared it with them and now I’ll share it with you!
It all began with my love of Anthropologie candles. My favorite scent is called, “Volcano” and comes in a beautiful blue jar. Unfortunately they are around $30 each which seems like a lot to me for one candle. (I’ll still splurge once in a while, just for the containers.)
So, I tried to find a candle that reminded me of volcano. One day at the grocery store (Publix in NC) I stumbled upon this brand called, Essential Elements Candle-Lite Company. They have several lovely scents but my favorite is called, “Blood Orange + Teakwood”. The label describes it as “zesty orange peel, lemon & patchouli in a bright happy essential blend with splashes of tangerine, grapefruit, teakwood and amber.” That pretty much sums it up!
I love to put a candle in my kitchen near the stove so when we cook something like fish or bacon, we light a candle to diffuse the odors. Once the candle burns down so low it won’t light anymore, I move it to the powder room and place it on a burner to use up the rest of the candle. No more wasted candles!
Also, the label is easily removed so you have just a glass container that blends in more seamlessly with your decor.
On Amazon the candles are more expensive (about $22.89) but they do have free shipping. (In case you can’t find them at your store and don’t mind paying extra.) Photo credit: Amazon.
Our Publix store sells them for around $10.99 each and sometimes puts them on sale. (When they do I am sure to take advantage and buy several!) And in case you are interested, these candles are made from nature and plant based wax, are sulfate, paragon and dye free, cruelty free, with 100% natural wick. They burn for up to 45 hours and contain essential oils. BOOM!
So, here’s my tip for the day. If you love great quality and great smelling candles be sure to check out this brand! Trust me, if men notice, then you’ll love it too! There are several other scents, but this one is my personal favorite.
Well, thank you for stopping by! Check back soon where I”m going to share a blueberry muffin recipe hack that’s quick, easy and yummy! Have a great day sweet friends! xoxo Dell
