If you are like me, you are constantly mailing letters and packages for this occasion
or that. It seems like lately I am mailing a baby gift, or birthday gift every other
week! So, to make things easier and prettier, I came up with a way to make my own
labels using my computer and printer.
I am not a computer whiz by any means so this is very simple. And if you mail
things regularly to the same address then you can save it on your computer to make
it even easier next time.
1-Open Microsoft Word
2-Click on Format at the top of the page
3-Click on Font (you can also choose a font color and/or special effects)
4-Choose your font (I like the cursive looking ones)
5-Choose your font size style (I like italic bold)
6-Choose your font size (depending on the size of package or letter) Additionally, you can
choose a font color and/or special effects. You can experiment. There are a million
options!
7-Press OK
Now you just input your return address and the addressee.
I like to add my signature chandelier stamp (for girls usually) or if it’s a holiday, I add an appropriate holiday stamp.
Then I fold it and tape it to my package and off to the
post office we go! The lady at my post office is so accustomed to my stamps that she
asks about it if I leave one off. (The last time it was a gift for my teenage nephew so I
didn’t think he would appreciate the chandelier and I was in a rush, so I didn’t try to
find a “manly” stamp). You can use different color ink pads too. The sky is the limit!
