Greetings and Happy Tuesday! Can you believe this is Thanksgiving week? I can’t! And I can’t wait for the delicious turkey and all of the fixings. But today, I want to share with you the furniture rentals my son and his bride used for their wedding reception. It all came from Paisley and Jade! It truly made the wedding unique and one of a kind!
Back in March of this year my son and his fiancé invited my husband and me down to Virginia to check out the venue they had chosen for their wedding. It was the beautiful Shirley Plantation in Charles City. Even though it was winter, we could still see majestic charm of the property and envision what it would all look like decked out for a wedding. This is the Great House.
But first of all we met them at a place they discovered called Paisley and Jade. P&J is located in Richmond and they cater to Virginia, Washington, DC and North Carolina. They specialize in vintage furniture rentals which include everything from sofas, tables, chairs, mirrors, lighting, chandeliers, lounge packages, bars and architectural pieces. You name it, and they probably have it! Just walking into their warehouse made me swoon. Here is my son and future daughter-in-law looking at some of the furniture options.
In each corner of the large P&J warehouse they have floor to ceiling shelves packed with all sorts of furniture and chairs. For instance if you are having a farmhouse/barn style wedding you can choose chairs from their wide assortment of white painted wooden chairs for that charming collected feel.
And everywhere you turn there are beautiful antique chairs and sofas to choose from. The manager took us around while my son and his fiancé chose which pieces they liked and she put together a list. You can even rent pillows and cushions.
This chair had me at hello. The kids picked this one as a feature piece in one of their lounge packages. It still has its original upholstery.
Below you can see the lounge package they chose including this chair. So, pretty! I love how the rug pulls the grouping all together to form a perfect conversation area inside the tent. End tables, a coffee table and a few accessories complete the look.
Check out the selection of gorgeous crystal chandeliers you can rent! I think I’d enjoy this grouping in my dining room. Too much? Of course not.

Here is a beautiful vintage fainting couch. I practically needed it after touring the fantastic showroom/warehouse.
There are old wine and whiskey barrels for rent as well. Some people use them along with a glass top as high top tables. Or you can use two or more together with a top and use as a bar or table. So many options!
The details on this old furniture is incredible. They sure knew how to make furniture back then, didn’t they?
Here is this same sofa at Shirley Plantation in the grapevine arbor, which they used as the bar and lounge area. Beautiful. The crystal chandeliers were from Paisley and Jade as well. I love how the rugs define each area of the arbor. When you rent furniture from P&J they provide delivery, set-up and retrieval.

The reception came together beautifully thanks to the groom, the bride and her lovely parents, Paisley & Jade, the wedding planner/caterer, florists and Shirley Plantation. It was a night to remember!
