Happy July Friends! In preparation for the July 4th holiday we hauled out our flags, pennants and buntings. They are such a snap to put up but provide such a visual impact! Come see how we decorate Happy Hill for the 4th!
I ordered these pennants and buntings a few years ago from Plow and Hearth and I must say they have held up very well. But, I only put them out for the patriotic holidays like Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day. This way they don’t get too faded. I put screws underneath the deck railing to align with the grommets on the buntings and makes putting them up each time a snap. They still look practically brand new!
And of course our flag. This year we relocated it to the opposite side of the deck landing. Before it slapped against the spot lights and we were afraid it would break them.
For the pennants I tie the lengths together and use my staple gun to fasten them to the railing. I love how they look from the yard and lake.
I get the feeling Lacey is not a fan. They get in the way of seeing her yard and lake….
I put some beautiful hydrangeas around the house. I can’t get over how gorgeous they are! On the deck I put some in the vintage glass mailbox and added a few tiny American flags.
I tried this vase in a few different places but in the end liked it best on the mantle in the den.
This is a necklace a precious friend gave me a few years ago. She knows me SO well. I love America!
And a few other pictures of red, white and blue goodness…
I hope you all have a wonderful and safe July 4th holiday! God bless you and God bless America! Thank you for stopping by and supporting my blog! xoxo Dell
