Happy Hump Day! I’ve been busy today working on a few projects and thought I’d share a quick idea for a baby shower gift using Jarware! Come see how easy and inexpensive this is!
Last week I shared a product made by Jarware that converts a mason jar into a drink jar. While I was on their website I saw these cute little converter kits that makes a mason jar into a piggy bank. Such a cute idea! The piggy bank kits were less than $3 so I bought a pink one and a blue one.
I decided to use the pink one, mainly because I already had some sweet little ribbon that says “It’s a Girl”. So, using the pink Jarware piggy bank kit I snapped the pig together. The directions say it fits regular size mouth jars. I tried it on the bigger glass jar and the feet of the pig looked awkward. The smaller jar definitely works and fits much better. (as shown on the packaging.)
In the small mason jar I was able to fit a bar of baby soap, a small travel size Johnson & Johnson shampoo, a small pack of Q-Tips and a pacifier. Of course you could put any number of things in the jar, but I thought these were things a new baby could use immediately.
These four items fit snuggly into the jar. I tied a little pink ribbon around the neck of the jar and it’s all set to go! For about $10 this is a simple and fun gift for a baby gift or shower gift. Then of course once the jar is empty, the baby has a savings bank. I found that this lid also fits a number of other types of jars so if you wanted to make it truly child safe, you could use a plastic jar instead.
And, if pink and blue are not your thing, you could paint the pig parts gold to match the collar of the lid and you’d have a golden piggy bank! I’ll definitely try that next!
If you’re like me you are always on the lookout for fun and unique gifts and I think this fits the bill! And it won’t break the bank! LOL. Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a terrific day. xoxo Dell
