TGIF! Happy Friday, Friends! First I want to wish everyone a wonderful Father’s Day weekend! And I want to share a fun little product that is new. (to me at least) It’s called Jar Ware and what a game changer!
I first found Jar Ware at Michael’s around Christmas time. I thought it was such a cool concept. Simple too! I liked it so well I bought each of the kids one for their stockings last year. The lids are made of heavy duty plastic and they fit perfectly inside a regular size mason jar lid. They retail for around $3.99 for the regular size lid and slightly extra for the wide mouth jars. You can also find them on Amazon or www.jarware.com.
And wouldn’t these be great for kids? My boys always LOVED drinking milk and I was thinking this would have been great when they were younger. Each child could have their own jar filled with their favorite drink to keep cold in the refrigerator. Maybe let the kids decorate their own and personalize it? YES!
I played around with the lid to see if would fit other non-mason jars and they do! They fit nicely on a jar that originally held spaghetti sauce. This particular jar is pretty large, so it would be a better size for my husband’s big hands. (Of course I added a clear sticker to make it prettier.)
And I love infused water so I made myself a water bottle with slices of lime, lemon, rosemary and mint. The ice does make the glass sweat, so beware of that. Otherwise you could just stick it in the fridge to get it cold.
Jar Ware even makes cute little piggy bank converters! Hmmm. I just had an idea!
There are several options to choose from on the jar ware website. And you can order them in bulk. It appeared as though the jar lids I bought are only available in orange but I bet they will soon be offered in a variety of colors. That way, each kid could have their own “jar”. Fun and economical, right? And with everyone trying to reduce the amount of waste, this could easily replace water bottles!
Well, that’s all for this week! Happy Father’s Day to everyone and a special shout out to my Dad! The BEST Father ever! I love you Dad! xoxox Dell
