I promised myself last week I wouldn’t go overboard with my fall decorating for a few more weeks. I want my mums, pumpkins and gourds to last through Thanksgiving so I didn’t want to buy them too soon. However, I couldn’t resist buying a few! So, I snagged a few fall decorations and played around with them on the Veranda.
Today I visited my favorite local boutique, The Crystal Cottage, and found these adorable stuffed pumpkins. When I look at these I realize how simple it would be to make them myself, so I will at some point, but I needed a sample, right? Really I was doing research. So, a few of the pumpkins followed me home! And a mum, and a cute little crow….
Anyway, the Veranda was in dire need of a fall face lift. I put away my flamingo pillows and brought out a few of my fall pillows and a throw. I added my cute little stuffed pumpkins and a pretty white mum.
I found this sassy little crow at a local nursery. I love her hat, scarf and jewels.
I’ve had this wreath for years. I like how it adds a pop of color out here.
Naturally Lacey had to go swimming and is soaking wet. She can’t figure out why I won’t let her in. (notice the wet pavers?) Why can’t she sit outside and enjoy her pretty fall themed Veranda? She is not feeling it and is barking to come inside.
The ferns still look great. The only downside to the ferns on the veranda, is that mosquitoes love them. I may need to rethink that next year. The nurseries and stores are packed with fun displays and merchandise so it was fun to look around and shop. I took a few pictures that I’ll share later. I have a feeling that some of my new goodies will make it back inside but for now I love how they perk up the Veranda. Off to dry Lacey and take care of a few mosquito bites. Have a wonderful day!
