Happy Monday, my Friends! I hope you had a lovely weekend! Today I want to share with you possibly the easiest appetizer ever! A dear friend of mine served this at one of her parties and of course I asked for the recipe. Thanks, Lynn!
This Dickinson’s Relish appetizer is the easiest dish ever! My sweet friend, Lynn told me about it. She served it at one of her dinner parties (along with tons of other delicious goodies) and it was so tasty and different. And what could be better than a cream cheese base?
The key ingredient of this appetizer is Dickinson’s Premium Sweet ‘n’ Hot Pepper & Onion Relish. It’s a little tricky to find at the grocery store so I just ordered it through Amazon. (And what CAN’T you buy on Amazon?) I ordered a pack of 6 jars for $24.98 plus free shipping. It comes to a little more than $4 per jar.
You simply pour the contents of the jar of relish over an 8 ounce block of cream cheese and serve with crackers. How easy is this?
I like to keep a few jars at Happy Hill and at home for a quick and easy snack. Recently we had my in-laws over for dinner at the lake and I served this with Wheat Thins. The dish looked festive on my fish shaped serving platter. We all must have been hungry as we cleaned the platter in short order!
Not only is this appetizer simple to make but it’s relatively inexpensive as well. Also, the ingredients are easy to keep on hand for drop in guests. You could even try a lower calorie version using reduced calorie cream cheese and crackers. Harry and David sells a similar relish that is tasty too. Hmmm. This could be a nice addition to a gift basket! (Next Christmas idea?)
Well, time to clean the house. AGAIN. Selling a house is time consuming! I hope you have a wonderful day! Thanks so much for stopping by! xoxo Dell
