Happy December!! It’s finally here! I love to decorate our house for Christmas so every year I like to add a few new fun and festive additions to our decor. This year I found a few awesome treasures at our local thrift store. Come and see!
I love the thrill of finding a bargain. Even more so if it is vintage and one of a kind looking! So yesterday while I was out running errands I spotted a tall, completely white artificial pre-lit Christmas tree outside one of my favorite thrift stores. I nearly slammed on brakes! But, I did my errands first and then came back. The tree was glorious! And it was SOLD. I should have slammed on brakes and bought it immediately. It was still worth the trip because I went inside anyway and found this little gem for $15!!
My Grandmother had a life size version of this tree with a color wheel that my sister has to this day. This little tree reminded me of that. It will be a perfect table top tree. I’m not sure where it will go yet, but I’m completely smitten! Hmmm, it looks like it needs a color wheel….
I also found a few other bargains. This sweet little Santa was $4. He is sitting on the bar in our kitchen beside the time for cocktails clock. He will be monitoring our naughty and nice quotient this holiday season. 🙂
This Santa pillow was too cute to pass up! Clearly he was handmade. He is sitting for now on our antique hall tree. Isn’t he sweet? I usually hang our Santa stockings here too. I’m going to dig them out of the Christmas Closet today and hang them.
For $2.99 I found this vintage looking Merry Christmas sign and a brand new cheese slicer and cheese cutter set. The cheese set may or may not go into a stocking this year!
Finally for 99 cents I bought this magnetic mail box cover. I think it will look sweet on our black mailbox along with some greenery and bows. (And some snow flocking perhaps?)
I think it’s fun and challenging to decorate our home with unique and vintage decorations, much like my husband and I had in our homes growing up. For about $30 we have some fun new accessories to add to our Christmas Decor via the Thrift Store! Happy Holidays!
