Happy Tuesday Friends! Remember yesterday I experimented using chalk paint on fabric? Well, my little project turned out great! The fabric dried and I moved the little stool to its new spot. Want to see how it looks?
Just to recap, I recently bought this little stool at a barn sale for $20. It was in a sad state. The fabric on top was stained and the rest of the stool was dirty and tired looking. This is how the little stool started out life at my house:
And the fabric on top of the stool was worse:
So, I whipped out my white chalk paint by Amy Howard at Home and gave it a few coats of paint. Fabric and all! It took several coats but now it looks fresh and new.
Now that the paint is dry, I moved it upstairs to our master bathroom vanity area. I love how the scale of this stool fills the space better than the old one. Plus, I like the crisp white along with the cabinets and the marble floor tile.
Here’s a few more shots of the stool and the bathroom sink and vanity areas…
I still love this Venetian mirror we bought from Wayfair specifically for the bathroom vanity. And it was just over $200 which is a great price for this type and size mirror.
And our claw foot tub. (that no one ever bathes in but looks pretty.)
The shiny polished chrome fixture is pretty on the white tub and the marble floors. We hope the future homeowners will think so too!
And one more look at the new stool. I think the bathroom is finally finished at last.
I’m off to yet another painting project. If you are like me, you have to strike while the iron is hot. Meaning, when I’m in the mood to paint, I jump on it! Thanks for stopping by today! I appreciate it so much. I hope you enjoy this gorgeous weather! xoxo Dell
