Several years ago my sister gave me some specialty laundry detergent and scented dryer sachets. It sounds like an odd gift, but she just discovered them and couldn’t wait for me to try them!
Now I am in love with them too! With out of town guests coming, I always like to spruce up the guest room and make sure that the sheets and towels are nice and clean. I’m going to wash them in my favorite scented detergent and dry them with the coordinating dryer sachets. The detergent is by Le Blanc, Inc. http://www.linenwash.net and comes in several different types of scents including Lavender, Blue Velvet, Summer Verbena, Portfolio (their most popular and my favorite) and more!
They offer a huge variety of products in all of the different scents, but I highlighted a few of my favorite products below! I found them to be cheaper on Amazon versus most other stores/websites.
Detergents:
- Le Blanc Portfolio Linen Wash
- Le Blanc Portfolio Silk & Lingerie Wash
- Le Blanc Portfolio Laundry Wash
- Le Blanc Portfolio Towel Wash
- Le Blanc Portfolio Dryer Sachets
- Le Blanc Portfolio Luggage Sachets (for when you travel)
- Le Blanc Wash for Children (This is awesome!)
They even have one that is fragrance free, but I’d rather choose from all of the other yummy smells! Each of the detergents have a coordinating dryer sachet so I like to buy the matching scents, obviously. I love that this product line is made in the USA and is family owned and operated out of Tampa, Florida. The products are all organic, biodegradable, and never animal tested. And the detergent is concentrated using only 2 oz. per load of laundry (I use just under 2 oz. per load and get about 40 loads from a 64 oz bottle of detergent).
The dryer sachets smell absolutely dreamy! They measure about 8 ½ inches X 3 ½ inches. They say they are good for 25 washes, but mine last much longer – so assume they should last you more like 40 washes each. So for the best smelling towels, sheets, or clothes EVER, its really less than $1.40 per load! After the scent fades, you can put them in your lingerie drawer and it smells wonderful for months! They even make a luggage sachet to keep your clothes smelling fresh while you travel or to keep your suitcase smelling fresh when in storage. (Or, you could use one of the old dryer sachets too!)
The products are a bit pricey but the detergent is concentrated so it does last a long time. I have been able to stretch each product (from the detergent to the sachets) quite a bit further than the instructions claim to provide. They are mostly carried by luxury linen shops. Locally ours is Yves Delorme but you can buy it online at Amazon as well. (In North Carolina you can find these products in Winston-Salem at Belle Maison.) Here is a state by state Store Locator from Le Blanc themselves however http://www.linenwash.net/store-locator.html
Back to the price though… a 64 ounce container of linen or towel wash is $36 usually in store, and around $34 at Amazon. A two pack of the dryer sachets is $48 in store, and $42 on Amazon, but it also comes with a 2 oz. silk & lingerie wash sample size. But again, both products can be stretched for a bit longer due to the powerful scent they give off. I usually get about 40 loads of laundry out of a 64 oz. bottle of the detergent and just one of the dryer sachets. So for the best smelling towels, sheets, or clothes EVER, its really less than $1.40 per load! (assuming 1 two-pack of dryer sachets and two 64 oz. bottles of detergent) So, again, it is more expensive but trust me, you and your guests will LOVE it! Just make sure you have fluffy towels and soft sheets and they will surely ask your secret and stay longer! Your family will love it too!
Le Blanc is kind enough to post some common Laundry Tips (especially for their products) on their site so check them out http://www.linenwash.net/the-dos-and-donts-of-laundering.html I also have posted another cool laundry tip that’s great for any household! https://www.dellsdailydish.com/laundry-tip/
