TGIF! Today in Pennsylvania the high is 26. It is SO cold!! Which is why I haven’t finished decorating my outdoor urns. However, I”ve been out and about shopping and running errands and I’ve snapped a few pictures of some gorgeous urns with beautiful greenery and decorations. These are my inspiration!
Usually by this time of year my front porch urns are filled with assorted greenery, twigs, pinecones and red winterberry. Or some combination thereof. This year I only got as far as the greenery and then I lost interest. And it got really cold. This is how my urns look currently. (Lame. And wow, someone needs to clean her front porch…)
So, I starting snapping pictures of my dream urns around town. This urn is at Holiday House where I take Lacey for grooming. They also have a kennel and doggie day care. Isn’t this urn fantastic? I saw a truck that said Dirty Girl Gardening and I believe they put together this masterpiece. All of the natural elements are perfect! This one stands at the entrance to the grooming area. It is massive and perfectly gorgeous!
These urns are at a local shop down the street from our house. It’s called Black-eyed Susan’s and is one of my favorite home decor shops. Each year they decorate their urns out front and they never disappoint! Stunning!
This one flanks the other side of the door. I love the mix of greenery, leaves, pinecones and shiny ornaments!
My lovely next door neighbor sent me these pictures of her urns this year. My neighbor Libby, who is also a talented photographer, swapped out some photography in exchange for these beautiful urn creations. And I am totally and completely jealous. Aren’t they stunning??
Yes, they are.
I wonder if Libby would notice if I swapped out her arrangements for mine? Or if somehow I can somehow convince @taunimcferson to work her magic on my urns as well? I have some monster pine cones from last year so I’ll see what I can do to “spruce” up my urns now that I have adequate inspiration! Maybe if it warms up. Or, I may keep the minimalistic look this year. Not that it’s my thing. At all.
I have my eye on some equally gorgeous dress forms decorated in greenery and fancy bling. They stand in the windows of my favorite boutique, Intrigue Fine Apparel. If I get a chance I’ll take some pictures and share. (I bought my dress for my son’s wedding there and the shop and owner are fantastic!)
Meanwhile, stay warm and happy decorating! xo Dell
