I had to run a few errands today and needed a few things at the craft store. Which is kind of like going to Target for a “few” things!
I did find the things I was looking for but while I was waiting in line to check out there was a sale table. All of the hand lotion and soap was marked down to 50 cents! So, I grabbed two and came home. Naturally I couldn’t leave them in their original 50 cent state so I peeled off the labels then rubbed off the sticky residue with Goof Off Heavy Duty Remover. Now, finding anything for $0.50 cents these days isn’t very common, but luckily Amazon usually has pretty great deals online for similar sized lotion/soap bottles (as low as $0.86!)
I had some gold letters left over from my craft closet makeover and decided to stick a letter on the front of one of the bottles. Remember to stock up when buying lettered-stickers and pick out several colors at once (so you have options and don’t run out of letters too quickly). I added a jute bow made from twine and glued a little gold medallion from a liquor bottle on the front – these gold-medalion-stickers I have also work pretty well. The other bottle was just as easy. I had a book of black accent stickers with clear backing. I peeled one off and stuck it on the front of the other bottle. I supposed I should label them as lotion somehow, but I guess either I’ll just know or folks will figure it out! I’ve seen these done a hundred ways, but I just used what I had on hand and it took me about 20 minutes. They look much better and the possibilities are endless! (These would look cute decorated with holiday motifs too!)
